This positive outlook was noted by The National Association of Home Builders in its NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market index which hit 42 this month. This score marks a seven point increase from January and one of the highest month-over-month gains in the last 10 years.
The reading surpassed expectations of 33 economists polled by Reuters. And is a welcome change from the twelve consecutive months of declining confidence that preceded January’s uptick. This serves as one indication that the housing market is doing even better than experts predicted and is finally recovering from the huge dip that happened last year.
